LONDON: STACY SULLIVAN - STORMY WEATHER
Following her successful and highly acclaimed A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee show last year, Stacy Sullivan returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, July 21st through 25th at 8:00 pm with new show STORMY WEATHER. Accompanied by her trio of musicians, Sullivan performs an eclectic evening of story and songs from celebrated songwriters such as Randy Newman, Nina Simone, Ray LaMontagne, Hoagy Carmichael, Judy Collins and Ed Sheeran. Sullivan grew up in Oklahoma, the seventh of eight children, in a wildly musical family. She has won numerous awards, including The MAC Award (2015) for Major Artist and The Lamott Friedman Award for Best Recording for It's a Good Day - A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee. She has toured the world with her band, as well as in a duo with the revered pianist Jon Weber. Paul L Martin Presents Jenni Douglas in her show "Stand By Your Man - A True Crime Cabaret" at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017 - ) on Tuesday, July 21st at 8:30 pm. She will be accompanied by Joseph Wright on piano. Fresh from a successful run in Melbourne, Australia, and off the back of London's So & So ON Festival (in association with Fringe Italia) November 2014, 'Stand By Your Man: True Crime Cabaret' presents chilling, thrilling accounts of real women whose lives have to be seen to be believed. In this self-devised one-woman show, Jenni Douglas - originally from Melbourne, now based in London - brings to life a collection of shocking but true tales of women who fell in love with serial killers. Using the women's own words, Jenni weaves these dark and tragic love stories in with beautiful new arrangements of favourite love songs in a manner that guarantees you'll never listen to them the same way again.
