NYC: GROUPIES - THE MUSES BEHIND THE LEGENDS OF ROCK & ROLL WITH LAUREN FOX

Rock stars have always taken the spotlight, and the women in the wings have always loved and supported them. It's time for the girls to take center stage in 'Groupies - The Muses Behind the Legends of Rock & Roll', a tribute to the beauties who loved the music so much that they got as close to it as one possibly could performed by Lauren Fox on Wednesday, July 1st at 9:30 pm at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). Lauren Fox celebrates the woman who started a sexual revolution ... and never looked back! The show features music by Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Waylon Jennings and more. Lauren is joined by musical director Jon Weber on piano; Peter Calo on acoustic & electric guitar, mandolin; and Ritt Henn on bass guitar. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: REVOLUTION WITH KATHLEEN FRANCE & DAWN DEROW

MAC Nominated Cabaret Artists Kathleen France & Dawn Derow team up for a reprise of their Duo Show: REVOLUTION at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Wednesday, July 1st at 6:30 pm. The show features them singing songs that celebrate the country's greatest triumphs and times of deepest sorrow during times of war. It is a historical reflection of music throughout the ages, paying tribute to the country's past, its soldiers, and its future. A portion of all cover charges will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JACKIE SCHIFFER - A LITTLE BIT IN LOVE

Jackie Schiffer returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Wednesday, July 1st at 9:30 pm, after producing and starring in the NYC premiere of Gregg Opelka's C'est La Vie. A versatile artist, Jackie's work includes a myriad array of TV, film, commercial, hosting and theater credits. Most recently, Jackie appeared on the Discovery ID pilot Killer Reunions, and onstage at Don't Tell Mama, The Metropolitan Room and with the New Jersey Playwrights Theatre. There is a $7 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE CUTTING ROOM PRESENTS LIZ QUELER, SETH FARBER, AND JOEY

Liz Queler, Seth Farber, and Joey Farber perform at THE CUTTING ROOM (44 East 32nd Street, NYC - 212-691-1900) on Wednesday, July 1st at 7:30 pm. Partners in marriage and music, Liz Queler and Seth Farber are both two time Grammy nominees. As children of musical parents and parents of a musical child, they started bringing their son Joey on stage with them when he was a tot. Now 16 years old, he has stepped in as an equal. With individual credits including appearances at Newport Folk Festival and Carnegie Hall (Liz), Saturday Night Live (Joey) and the conducting podium of numerous Broadway shows (Seth) - their family band presents a truly unique sound and soul. Heavy on harmonies with influences from Appalachia, bluegrass and gospel vocal blending, their music is infused with a rock sensibility, creating a soulful cross between Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Emmylou Harris and Hozier. The Farber/Quelers have eight CDs between them, including Joey's breakout "The Early Years" recorded when he was 7. The most recent collaboration from Seth and Liz yielded "The Edna Project" - 21 songs set to the poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay - both the inspiration and score for "Still Will Be Heard" their first theater piece, commissioned and produced by Peak Performances at Montclair State Univ. (NJ) in June 2014. Musicians through and through, sharing thoughtful and exceptional music with the world and with each other, they've toured extensively and were featured on Rosie O'Donnell's HBO special "A Family is a Family Is a Family" with their original song "Raised On Love". Their musical adaptation of the children's folk tale "The Little Red Hen" will be released as an e-book/app this summer by Ever After Tales. Liz and Seth both tour with children's rock sensation "Brady Rymer and The Little Band That Could". There is a $20 cover.

NYC: JEREMY JORDAN RETURNS TO 54 BELOW

After a sold-out two-week NYC solo concert debut last fall, Jeremy Jordan returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) for eight performances this summer with a brand new show. Shows are scheduled for Monday through Wednesday, June 22nd through 24th and Friday & Saturday, June 26th & 27th at 7:00 pm, with an added show on the 27th at 9:30 pm, Monday & Tuesday, June 29th & 30th at 7:00 pm and July 1st through 3rd at 7:00 pm. An additional late show is schedule for the 3rd at 9:30 pm. The star of The Last 5 Years movie has Broadway credits that include Newsies, Bonnie & Clyde, West Side Story, and Rock of Ages. He is also known for his role on NBC's Smash, as well as major concert engagements such as A Bed And A Chair at Encores! and Parade at Avery Fisher Hall. There is a $65-$120 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: LOVE DON'T NEED A REASON: A BENEFIT FOR CALLEN-LORDE

The Voices of the Cabaret, Broadway and singer/ songwriter communities will join together to raise funds and awareness for The Callen-Lorde Community Health Center with 'Love Don't Need A Reason', a benefit, on Wednesday, July 1st at 9:30 pm at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551). Co-hosts Carly Ozard and Richard Skipper present an evening of uplifting music and collaboration. Callen-Lorde is a center that specializes in healthcare for the LGBT communities in all their diversity - regardless of ability to pay. Artists from the varying communities have come together to create special messages of music in arrangement with MAC Award winning musical director Steven Ray Watkins. Produced by Richard Skipper Celebrates and Carly Ozard. The show features Natalie Arneson, Scott Evan Davis (Composer/Lyricist), Joshua Dixon, Matthew Ferretti, Jennifer Haber, Rosemary Loar (Broadway: Chess, Sunset Boulevard), Kim Grogg Marin, Kurt Perry, Ruby Powers, Sarah Rice (Original Johanna in Sweeney Todd) and Adam Shapiro (From the Emmy Award Winning HBO's The Normal Heart). Special Guests include John Bucchino (Composer of A Catered Affair, Recording Artist), Christine Lavin (Singer/Songwriter, Recording Artist), David Friedman (Composer, Scandalous, Broadway Conductor, Author, Public Speaker). As with all live entertainment events, cast subject to change without notice. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: CANADA DAY: NEW YORK ROCKS THE GREAT CANADIAN SONGBOOK!

Celebrate Canada's 148th birthday with this all-star celebration of the Great Canadian Songbook, produced and emcee'd by Jeff Breithaupt (The Breithaupt Brothers) at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Wednesday, July 1st with performances at 7:00 & 9:30 pm, and featuring a stellar international line-up of singers interpreting the best of Canada's songbook. This year's line-up includes cabaret great Marissa Mulder, Broadway's Jeremy Kushnier, singer-impressionist Christina Bianco, jazz vocalist Carolyn Leonhart (Steely Dan), Greg Naughton (The Sweet Remains), NPR's Ophira Eisenberg ("Ask Me Another"), Betty's Alyson Palmer, Cabaret Spitfire Shelley McPherson, Tony Salvatore, Protean Chanteuse Victoria Lecta Cave (Gettin' Her Geddy On), Soul Crooner J'sun (The Voice), Broadway's Paul Nolan (Once, Dr. Zhivago), and a special appearance by NY1 Morning Anchor Pat Kiernan.
