LONDON: CLAIRE MARTIN AND JOE STILGOE AT THE CRAZY COQS
Celebrating the most optimistic of the seasons - the blossoming of buds, the warble of the lark and the first thrilling swoop of the swallow - Claire Martin and Joe Stilgoe are back at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) with 'It Might As Well Be Spring' on Tuesday through Saturday, March 24th through 28th at 8:00 pm. Following complete sell-outs in 2013 and 2014, Martin and Stilgoe bring their joyous song, smutty banter and splendid jazz plumage to Crazy Coqs once more! Songs include "It Might As Well Be Spring", "Spring Is Here", "April In Paris" and "Blue Skies", songs from giants such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Fran Landesman, Lennon & McCartney and Randy Newman. Claire Martin has established herself as a tour de force on the UK jazz scene, winning numerous awards, including the British Jazz Awards six times. She has toured extensively throughout the world, appearing with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and her world-class trio. She has been awarded an OBE for services to Jazz. Joe Stilgoe is one of the world's finest singer-pianists, touring constantly with his band and as a solo act, appearing at jazz clubs and festivals around the world, as well as at Crazy Coqs for his very popular Sunday residencies. LONDON: SWING DANCE WITH KAI'S CATS AT THE CRAZY COQS
As part of their new weekly SWING DANCE NIGHTS every Friday night at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888), swing & dance with Kai's Cats. The tables will be cleared, the dance floor prepared and from 10.30 pm, one of the club's vibrant house bands will get the evening going with a swing! This week, a favourite jive band with discerning lindy hoppers and swing jazz connoisseurs, Kai's Cats have supported celebs from Joss Stone to the cast of Red Dwarf, with diplomats and royalty in between. Fronted by American "Queen of Swing" Kai Hoffman, Kai's Cats play a superbly danceable mix of jive, swing and rock and roll. Kai's Cats have featured on BBC Radio and Jazz FM, and have played at venues and festivals all over the UK and abroad.With nearly ten years of jivin' under their belts, they are a fabulously swingin' band. Richard Douglas Productions presents TV star Neil Sean at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) on Friday, March 27th at 8:30 pm. Sean has starred in films, sung on many chart topping hits, and appeared on Broadway and the West End in such hits as Chicago, Jersey Boys and Copacabana. Now while working on global news channels he meets and interviews the world's greatest stars on the red carpet & on "Be My Guest", his own chat show. Call for cover/minimum information.
