CHAPEL HILL, NC: "EMC/NYC" - A CABARET LOVE SONG TO MY NEW YORK

In an encore performance of her sold-out Valentine's Cabaret, Ellen Ciompi presents "EMC/NYC", a love song to the city of her birth, her fantasies, and her dreams at COMMUNITY CHURCH OF CHAPEL HILL, UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST (106 Purefoy Road, Chapel Hill, NC - 919-942-2050) on Saturday, March 28th at 7:00 pm. Bring someone special and enjoy an evening of songs new and familiar, by composers old and contemporary, each illuminating some notable aspect of The Big Apple - from the skin to the core. She will be joined on stage with music director/ pianist Glenn Mehrbach, and bassist Robbie Link. Mary Wilson returns to THE ROYAL ROOM at THE COLONY HOTEL (155 Hammond Avenue, Palm Beach, FL - 561-659-8100) on Tuesday through Saturday, March 24th through 28th at 8:00 pm. It was a vision of musical stardom as a Detroit teen that inspired Mary Wilson to co-found one of the most successful female singing groups in recording history • The Supremes. With an unprecedented 12 number-one hits, including "Where Did Our Love Go," "Baby Love," "Come See About Me" and "Stop, In The Name Of Love," The Supremes set the precedent for super group success. Wilson also has written a best-selling autobiography, performed on stage and screen, lectured and toured the world, and continues to be looked up to as a singer who set the standard for females in the recording industry. Liz Smith called her "the sexiest and most attractive of the three original Supremes (and) a true survivor." For each guest there will be a $90 cover charge Tuesday through Thursday, and a $110 cover charge on Friday & Saturday, plus a $20 minimum for food and beverage; $110 cover charge for premium seating on Tuesday through Thursday and $130 on Friday and Saturday.
