SF: BILL CHAMPLIN AT YOSHI'S SAN FRANCISCO
Bill Champlim will appear at YOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600 - ) on Thursday, January 31st with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Bill Champlin is best known for being a member of Chicago, which he joined in 1981 and remained a member of for 28 years. However, his career encompasses a whole lot more. Bill's first band, The Opposite Six, was formed in 1961, while he was still in high school. Later, The Sons of Champlin formed in 1965 as a five-piece band, and later expanded to seven members. The Sons recorded seven commercially released albums between 1968 and 1977 and gained a devoted fan base. However, they never quite made it on the national scene, and disbanded in 1977. No Place Left To Fall (DreamMakers/2009) is Bill's first solo CD / DVD in over 12 years. There is a $24 cover (8:00 pm) and $10 cover (10:00 pm).
