NYC: CARLY OZARD BRINGS "SHIFT HAPPENS" TO THE BEECHMAN
Carly Ozard, one of San Francisco's premiere cabaret artists and recent resident of New York city brings her newest critically acclaimed show "Shift Happens" to the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on three consecutive Mondays, January 21st and 28th at 9:30 pm and February 4th at 7:00 pm. Musical director is Steven Ray Watkins, with direction by Barry Kleinbort. As a lifetime resident of San Francisco, having recently relocated to New York City, Ozard muses on her findings about the differences between her City by the Bay and the Big Apple. Performing songs by artists as diverse as John Lennon, William Finn, Bette Midler, Kander and Ebb, and Alan Menken, Carly's trademark humorous perspective sheds light on the journey people take; whether it be their career, their search for love, or simply the journey to find themselves and a place to fit in.
