Stacie Perlman makes her eagerly-awaited cabaret debut in "The Story Underneath" to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesdays, July 10th & 31st, and August 14th at 7:00 pm. "The Story Underneath" takes you through the world of fairy tales. Magic mirrors, evil witches, and other surprises wait around every turn ... behind every tree ... and things are not always what they seem. The show is directed by MAC Award Winner Rob Langeder, and has musical direction by MAC Award Winner Jason Wynn. Stacie burst onto the cabaret scene as part of the 2011 MetroStar competition at the Metropolitan Room, beginning as a complete unknown, and ending as the First Runner-Up in what was acknowledged to be the closest race in history. Hailing from Coney Island, Brooklyn, USA, Perlman was most recently seen at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, in Smile on My Face: The Songs of Richard Eisenberg. She has performed on board Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas, as well as in regional productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, A Grand Night for Singing, and two productions of Kander & Ebb's The Rink. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. $15 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
