NYC: MARK JANAS' SALON: "ANOTHER KIND OF LIGHT!"
SALON - that unique, Multiple Award Winning, Weekly Open Mic Event, created and hosted by Mark Janas returns toETCETERA ETCETERA(352 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-399-4141 - ) on Sunday, August 12th from 7:00 to 10:30 pm (sign-up begins at 6:15 pm). Guest host will be Kenneth Gartman. The optional theme for the evening is "Another Kind of Light!" - songs about sunshine, candlelight, electricity or seeing things from a new or different perspective. Co-Host will be Raissa Katona Bennett. The Salon Spotlight will feature Edd Clark & Sue Matsuki. Remember, any material, on or off theme, is always welcome at Salon. There are no reservations; seating is on a first come/ first served basis, with one intermission. There is a $10 cash cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
