NYC: JENNIFER SHEEHAN CELEBRATES THE 60s IN "I KNOW A PLACE"
FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) presents the debut of multi-award winning singer Jennifer Sheehan in her new show "I Know A Place" on Wednesday through Friday, May 23rd through 25th; and Tuesday, May 29th through Saturday, June 2nd at 8:00 pm, with added shows at 10:30 pm on June 1st & 2nd. Sheehan and her trio traverse the vast spectrum of music that was the sensational soundtrack of the 60s. Plus, she shares how younger generations are falling in love with these classic songs just as their parents did. Brimming with songs and stories, "I Know A Place" features music by songwriters such as Burt Bacharach, The Beatles and Antonio Carlos Jobim and songs made famous by Barbra Streisand, Petula Clark, Carole King and more. Ms. Sheehan made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2010, performing as a special guest of Michael Feinstein. Last summer, she made her Guild Hall debut in the Hamptons, performing in concert with Eric Michael Gillett and Alex Rybeck and headlined a sold-out run of her critically acclaimed show at the Metropolitan Room in New York last year. Ms. Sheehan has performed as one of six vocalists in Radio City Music Hall's "Christmas Spectacular." She also has appeared in shows at the York Theatre, the 92nd Street Y, the Bard Summerscape Festival and Boston Musical Theater. Jennifer is a graduate of The Juilliard School. There is a $30-$50-$75 cover plus cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
