NYC: THE SAL RICHARDS SHOW AT THE METROPOLITAN
Sal Richards, an accomplished comedian and actor within the entertainment industry for almost 40 years is returning to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Friday, April 20th at 9:30 pm. Sal's Documentary about is life ,"Mr. Laughs, A Look behind the Curtain" won 6 Best Documentary in Film Festivals around the country, a behind the scenes look that reveals the many obstacles he faced while trying to make it in show business. From dealing with the MOB, to the death of his son at age 21, from his big Broadway Show closing early because of a terrible Snowstorm, to the good times and the bad times with well know celebrities, it's all here. Brooklyn born Richards has appeared in such films as Rounders, Out for Justice, Fighting Back, and Love Is All There Is. He has also appeared in such television shows as The Sopranos, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, The Fugitive, and Deadline. He just finished shooting a co-starring role in a comedy with Vincent D'onofrio and Brenda Vaccaro, Crackers directed by award winning director Gregory Principato. Although these roles all required his serious side, Richards is also a critically acclaimed professional comedian. He performs at various venues across the United States, including headlining shows in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. There is a $30 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
