NYC: BARBARA PORTEUS RETURNS TO FEINSTEIN'S - FINAL NIGHT
Returning for a 2-night run, Barbara Porteus brings her extensive nightclub and musical theater expertise to more than a dozen song standards, including four premieres to her repertoire to FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) on Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st, both shows at 8:30 pm. From Cole Porter and Rodgers & Hammerstein to Joni Mitchell, Barbara's show features swinging up-tunes and emotional, heartfelt ballads, all arranged by jazz and Broadway musical director Barry Levitt. Her band includes Eric Udel, bass; Marya Casales, percussion; Jack Cavari, guitar; and Julie Sussman Perez, reeds. The show is directed by Peter Napolitano. Barbara has performed with Marie Osmond, Donald O'Connor, Phyllis Diller and has opened for Petula Clark, Sid Caesar and many others. There is a $30 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
