NYC: "THE SUMMER OAK ROOM SALON" PREMIERES THIS THURSDAY

Mark Janas and Peter Napolitano, the same folks that bring you the ALGONQUIN SALON every Sunday in the lobby of THE ALGONQUIN HOTEL (59 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-419-9331 - ), now present THE SUMMER OAK ROOM SALON every Thursday night in July in the famed OAK ROOM of the hotel from 7:00 to 10:00 pm starting July 16th. The Oak Room Salon will be an OPEN MIC similar to the Sunday Salon but with some differences. There will be a $10 cover charge, but still no minimum, no optional themes, a special co-host and a featured guest star. There'll also be discount coupons for singers, special drink discounts and raffles. Mark Janas will be at the piano. The opening night show on July 16th will feature Julie Reyburn as the special co-host and the legendary Julie Wilson as Featured Guest Star. 2009 MAC AWARD NOMINEE Mark Janas' Algonquin Salon usually takes place on Sunday nights from 7:00 to 10:00 pm in the lobby of THE ALGONQUIN HOTEL (59 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-419-9331 - ). The Salon is a weekly event in which singers, writers and musicians share their talent with each other and audience members in the lobby of the Algonquin Hotel. Salon Secretary Peter Napolitano reports that on Sunday, May 10th, guest co-host is 2009 MAC Nominee for Female Vocalist Julie Reyburn and she has chosen the theme "ALL IN THE FAMILY!" It's Mother's Day and Julie's mother will be in attendance! Saloners are encouraged to celebrate all aspects of family life and family members, both traditional and non! So treat your mother to brunch for an evening with our Salon family! Remember, any material, on or off-theme, is always welcome at the Algonquin Salon. There is no cover and no minimum.

NYC: JULIE REYBURN MAKES HER FEINSTEIN'S DEBUT

Award Winning Vocalist Julie Reyburn makes her Feinstein's debut on January 6th in a special One Night Only performance of her show "It's A New World" at FEINSTEIN'S at the REGENCY HOTEL (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) on Tuesday, January 6th at 8:30 pm. This brand new show was created specifically to celebrate the occasion! Directed by Peter Napolitano, Julie is joined by her longtime Musical Director, Mark Janas and Bassist Ritt Henn performing a unique collection of celebrated standards, Broadway classics, and new works soon to become part of the American Songbook. Composers/Lyricists include Stephen Sondheim, Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Maltby & Shire, Janas & Napolitano, Alec Wilder, Harold Arlen, E.Y. Harburg, Ira Gershwin, Vernon Duke, Henry Mancini & Johnny Mercer and Irving Berlin. Julie is a multi-award winning singer, actor and recording artist who has appeared in many of the top clubs in Manhattan. Her ability to connect to a lyric with unique interpretations has established her as one of New York's celebrated female vocalist. She is the first ever Nightlife Award recipient for Outstanding Female Vocalist in 2003 and again in 2005 as a finalist. There is a $30 cover charge, plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
