LONDON: CAROLE J BUFFORD AT THE CRAZY COQS

Carole J. Bufford makes a welcome return to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) with her new show SHADES OF BLUE on Tuesday through Saturday, January 27th through 31st at 8:00 pm, with a song list of blues numbers culled from material spanning a century. Shades of Blue traces how the Blues affected the Great American Songbook as well as country, rock and roll, Broadway and even current popular music with songs made famous by the likes of Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Elvis Presley and more. From sly and sexy comedy numbers to high drama, Carole is a singer/ actreor who raises the stakes on everything she sings. Carole has become a sought after young performer. Her recent shows, Speak Easy and Body & Soul earned her rave reviews across the board, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Carole is the recipient of a 2013 Nightlife Award and 2011 Bistro Award. Call for cover/minimum information.

LONDON: OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE CRAZY COQS 

Harold Sanditen, jazz-cabaret singer and veteran theatre producer, is host of Open Mic Night at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) every Thursday at 10:30 pm, ably supported by regular musicians Michael Roulston on piano and Jonty Fisher on bass. It is always an entertaining evening full of fun and surprise. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.
