LONDON: AMANDA MCBROOM AT THE CRAZY COQS
One of our most popular and well-loved artists, Amanda McBroom, returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, April 21st through 25th at 8:00 pm with her new show NOIR - SONGS OF LOVE. The show promises to be a magical blend of personal anecdotes, humour and songs by highly acclaimed songwriters including Johnny Mercer (That Old Black Magic), Harold Arlen, Tom Waits (Blue Valentine) and Jacques Brel, as well as some of her own well-known, self-penned numbers, including "The Rose", which was an international hit for Bette Middler. McBroom's talent for witty, profound and emotionally charged songwriting sets her apart from her from her comtemporaries and makes this a residency not to be missed! LONDON: OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE CRAZY COQS
Harold Sanditen, jazz-cabaret singer and veteran theatre producer, is host of Open Mic Night at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) every Thursday at 10:30 pm, ably supported by regular musicians Michael Roulston on piano and Jonty Fisher on bass. It is always an entertaining evening full of fun and surprise. Aimed at both the jazz and theatrical communities, The Crazy Coqs Open Mic Night welcomes all singers, composers and musicians, up & coming and established, who want to do a turn, performing new material or old favourites. For the audience, come and catch that proverbial 'rising star' (or possibly a famous West End name) in the intimate, "jewel-box" surroundings of The Crazy Coqs. Call for cover/minimum information.
