NYC: ERIC COMSTOCK AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA

Eric Comstock returns to his residency at New York's newest music venue, CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA(178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) from 8:00 pm to midnight every Tuesday night. An acknowledged master of the American Songbook, Comstock has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and virtually every important nightclub in New York and across the country. He is one of only a handful of singer/pianists who can command a room merely by sitting at the piano, singing and telling stories. In addition to his extensive knowledge of repertoire, Comstock has a seemingly unending supply of anecdotes about the songs, the writers, and the stars who sang them. His unique combination of musicianship, history and charisma creates an experience that is as entertaining as it is musically savvy, and his audiences feel they've been to a terrific party where the music and the stories have been equally great. NYC: CABARET CARES - "A DREAM IS A WISH" - A NIGHT OF DISNEY

Cabaret Cares concludes its monthly series of shows on Tuesday, April 21st at 7:00 pm with "A Dream Is A Wish" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). This will be the final monthly show before the big Gala on Sunday, May 17th. The evening entitled "A Dream Is A Wish" will feature some of the best cabaret singers from New York singing their favorite Disney Tunes. The monthly series benefits Help Is On The Way Today a non for profit organization that helps and assists children living with HIV and AIDS. Performing on April 21st will be Joshua Dixon, Natalie Arneson, Beau Howard, Samara Ariel, Carolyn Montgomery-Forant, Kristoffer, Stearns Matthews and Adam B. Shapiro. Tracy Stark musical directs the evening. Cabaret Cares is the Award Winning benefit series that benefits Help Is On The Way Today a non for profit created by cabaret producer Joseph Macchia. Cabaret Cares is a ongoing monthly series that was created to benefit Help Is On The Way Today a non for profit organization that helps children, teens and youth living with HIV and AIDS. Once a month a new show is created and can feature Broadway show casts, up and coming talent and many from the New York Cabaret Community. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE SONS OF SERENDIP AT SUBCULTURE

The Sons of Serendip (SoS) will perform at SUBCULTURE NYC (45 Bleaker Street, NYC) on Tuesday, April 21st at 7:30 pm. The Sons of Serendip are a musical group of four friends, who through a series of serendipitous events, came together in graduate school at Boston University and auditioned for America's Got Talent. SoS quickly became an audience favorite and won 4th placein the 2014 competition. The members are, Micah Christian, a teacher from Randolph, MA and the lead singer for the group; Cordaro Rodriguez, an attorney from Charlotte, NC, is pianist and guitarist; Kendall Ramseur, a performer and cello instructor from Charlotte, NC is cellist and vocals; and Mason Morton, a teacher from Atlanta, GA, is the harpist. All have been playing their instruments since childhood. There is a $25 cover. 

NYC: THE RELUCTANT SONGSTRESS - CATE HOMLISH

Cate Homlish brings her show "The Reluctant Songstress" to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Tuesday, April 21st at 7:00 pm. Watch Cate grapple with fear of failure, and the ever present monster that is stage fright. See her missteps and almosts, and finally see her triumph and find her voice. "The Reluctant Songstress" is a musical revue full of self-doubt, self-deprication and finally self-discovery. Just an average day for a New Yorker. There is a $12 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MY SACRED PRAIRIE CHERRY WITH FAITH FOSSETT

Vocalist Faith Fossett presents "My Sacred Prairie Cherry" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Tuesday, April 21st at 9:30 pm. For Faith, remaining a virgin until her wedding night was a promise she made to herself when she was a doe-eyed 14 year old from Nebraska, and Christina Aguilera was singing "you gotta rub me the right way" on the radio. This was going to be no easy task. Jump on this song-filled covered wagon as Faith tells us how she found her way down the happy trail. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MRS. KASHA DAVIS AT THE BEECHMAN

Current RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Mrs. Kasha Davis will make her New York City cabaret debut at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) with the premiere of THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR A COCKTAIL on Tuesday, April 21st at 7:00 pm. The show is written by Edward Popil and directed by Ralph Meranti with musical direction by Josh D. Smith. THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR A COCKTAIL is true life story of little Eddie Popil's transformation from a young boy in Scranton, PA, to "International Celebrity Housewife, Mrs. Kasha Davis," one of the stars of RuPaul's Drag Race. Join the ultimate hostess for an evening of music, stories and party games with a heartfelt story of love, acceptance and finding your own path. Mrs. Kasha Davis (Edward Popil), a Scranton native, now calls Rochester, NY her hometown. Davis is a contestant on Season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race and is proud to say she auditioned for all 7 seasons. Kasha is a theatre gal who most recently played Elizabeth Fuller in Me and Jezebel with Blackfriars Theatre as well as The Mystery of Irma Vep. As her alter ego "Ed" Kasha has appeared with JCC Centerstage as Eddie Ryan in Funny Girl and Roger Debris in The Producers. Kasha Davis appears with the fabulous Aggy Dune in their feMALE impersonation show THE BIG WIGS, appearing anywhere that calls for a man in a dress, fast costume changes and tons of laughs. Past credits include Off-Off Broadway productions of The Diary of Anne Frank and True West. NYC: THE MARK KOSTABI BAND: KOSTABEAT. FEATURING TONY ESPOSITO

A New York welcome for famous Italian percussionist and songwriter Tony Esposito (Kalimba de Luna) who will perform alongside Mark Kostabi, Paul Kostabi (from White Zombie) Mollie Israel (The Lost Patrol), Paul Nowinski (Les Paul, Keith Richards and Rickie Lee Jones) and Keith LeBlanc (Annie Lennox and Seal) at this CD release concert for Kostabeat at THE CUTTING ROOM (44 East 32nd Street, NYC - 212-691-1900) on Tuesday, April 21st at 8:30 pm. In addition to songs from the new Kostabeat album, they will perform Tony Esposito's international 80s hit, Kalimba de Luna, and other Esposito hits. Special guests will include: Scott Putesky aka Daisy Berkowitz from Marilyn Manso and New York based Italian singer, percussionist and dancer Alesandra Belloni. Paintings by Mark Kostabi are permanently visible throughout The Cutting Room. Artist and Composer Mark Kostabi was born in Los Angeles in 1960 to Estonian immigrants. Raised in Whittier, California, he studied drawing and painting at California State University, Fullerton. Kostabi moved to New York in 1982, and by 1984, emerged as a leading figure in the now legendary East Village art scene where he cultivated a provocative media persona by publishing self-interviews reflecting on the commodification of contemporary art. By 1987, his visual art was widely exhibited internationally. He inspired extensive international press coverage starting in 1988 when he founded Kostabi World, his Manhattan art studio, where he openly employs numerous painting assistants. Beginning in the early 1990s Kostabi's work has been widely exhibited throughout Italy. Kostabi established a second home in Rome in 1996. Kostabi produces a weekly cable TV show, The Kostabi Show, where noted art critics and celebrities compete to title his paintings for cash awards. Kostabi has performed his music as a soloist and with other musicians including Ornette Coleman, Jerry Marotta, Tony Levin, Tony Esposito and Paul Kostabi. His CDs include I Did It Steinway, Songs For Sumera and The Spectre of Modernism. In recent years Kostabi has performed his music extensively in collaboration with Tony Esposito in concerts and television shows throughout Italy. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: THE HIGHWAY PRESENTS AN EVENING WITH OLD DOMINION

The Highway presents an evening with Old Dominion at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Tuesday, April 21st with performances at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. Blending old-fashioned country charm, lyrical wit and rock n' roll grit into radio-friendly hook-heavy pop nuggets, Old Dominion have emerged as one of the hottest breaking bands in country music. Their gut-punch of a new self-titled EP is highlighted by the back porch smack of undeniable single "Break Up With Him" and the bruising "Shut Me Up," and is the product of the five-piece band, which includes singer Matthew Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers. They've spent seven years honing their craft, each making a name for themselves in Nashville by penning songs for the likes of Keith Urban and Luke Bryan. Now it's nothing less than the country rock outfit's defining moment. Old Dominion will join Kenny Chesney's The Big Revival Tour for 17 stadium performances in 2015. There is a $20 cover. 

NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
