The Singing String Quartet has quickly gained national and international attention for their unique mash-up of string quartet and boy band. Well-Strung features classical musicians who also sing, putting their own spin on the music of Mozart, Vivaldi, Ke$ha, Pink, Adele, Lady Gaga and more. Produced by Krieger Events. LOS ANGELES, CA: ROCKWELL TABLE & STAGE PRESENTS STUPID SONGS!

After playing sold out shows around Los Angeles, the Stupid Songs Troupe brings their brand of funny to ROCKWELL: TABLE & STAGE (1714 Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA - 323-669-1550 - ) on Thursday, April 23rd at 8:00 pm. Many of their members met while training at The Groundlings, and they'll be performing mostly original tunes, with a few parodies and a few gems from up-and-coming composers thrown in. And there will be dancing. Stupid dancing. If you HATE musical theatre, this is the show for you. if you LOVE musical theater, this is the show for you. There is a $15 cover.

LOS ANGELES: JACKIE GIBSON AT THE GARDENIA

Jackie Gibson, who was part of L.A.'s Folk Movement as a teenager, appearing alongside the likes of Joni Mitchell at venues such as The Troubadour and Ciro's, will perform at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Thursday, April 23rd at 9:00 pm. Over the years Jackie has performed all over greater Los Angeles, including at The Gardenia, and, proud of her Latina heritage, she has also been a vocalist on KMEX's Nosotros. She is the creator of Jazz del Corazon, marshalling her talent and those of others to provide financial support for those in the local music community in extreme need. LOS ANGELES: WINKLER AND TATHAM WITH "OUT OF MY DREAMS"

Celebrating the success of their recent release "Out of My Dreams," singers and songwriters Mark Winkler and Joanne Tatham join forces for a live concert together at CATALINA JAZZ CLUB (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) on Thursday, April 23rd at 8:30 pm. The recording - with Joanne assaying vocals and Mark producing - entered the JazzWeek chart at #28 after only three weeks and just keeps climbing. LOS ANGELES: BRENNA WHITAKER AT SPAGHETTINI & THE DAVE KOZ LOUNGE

Brenna Whitaker performs at SPAGHETTINI & THE DAVE KOZ LOUNGE (184 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills, CA - 310-424-4600) on Thursday, April 23rd at 8:30 pm. As a kid growing up in Kansas City, Brenna Whitaker fell in love with the music of jazz and blues singers from a long-ago era like Ruth Brown, Peggy Lee, Cab Calloway, Etta James. After landing her first professional theater gig at age 11, moving to New York City on her own to study with Broadway veterans at age 17, and spending her early 20s leading jazz bands back home in Missouri, Whitaker headed to L.A. and started setting up a series of residencies that eventually attracted fans like Stevie Wonder and Justin Bieber and caught the attention of Verve Records president and 16-time Grammy Award-winner David Foster. The first new artist Foster has agreed to develop and produce since discovering Michael Buble, Whitaker is now set to release a debut album for Verve that finds her reviving the Great American Songbook and revealing the full force of her stunning, soulful voice.
