NYC: ALAN SIMON RETURNS TO THE BEECHMAN WITH "A WOMAN'S TOUCH"

Alan Simon returns to the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Tuesday, February 3rd at 7pm in "A Woman's Touch" featuring Rebecca Holt (Broadway revival of How To Succeed), Kristin Feeney (Goodspeed Opera House) and Kelsey Landon (The Acting Company) in a festive entertainment with humor, heart and hijinks. The show highlights the eclectic artistry of Harold Arlen, Glen Campbell, Sam Cooke, Yip Harburg, Colin Hay, Paul McCartney, Randy Newman, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Mark Saltzman, Stephen Sondheim, Steve Winwood, and James Taylor, among others. Simon, also credited as co-writer, had a successful run at the Beechman of his one-man show series, The Long Way Home, and recently appeared with The Broadway Performance Project at Stage 72, both directed by Kimberly Vaughn. Collaborating again with Simon is director and co-writer Kimberly Vaughn, known for directing the Obie and Drama Desk Award winning play The Sea Horse in Cambridge, Ron Paolillo's The Lost Boy at Helen Hayes Theatre in Nyack and Queens Theatre in the Park, Sondheim's Saturday Night, co-directed with Theodore Mann at Circle in the Square Theatre School, among others. Musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes (Broadway Sings, LORD TOM) and choreographer Anne Vick (Central Avenue Breakdown) also join the creative team. Alan Simon Productions in association with The Group Theatre Too (Justin Boccitto and Michael Blevins Co-founders) act as producer on the show. The Group Theatre Too credits include Count To Ten (NYMF), The Choreographer's Canvas, Fabulous Fanny: The Songs and Stories of Fanny Brice, An Evening With Danny Kaye and the New York revival of Seesaw. There is a $15 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: LAURIE KRAUZ'S JAZZ SOUP AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Laurie Krauz & Daryl Kojak return with Laurie Krauz's Jazz Soup at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, February 3rd at 7:00 pm. The show promises to be another fun, eclectic, mix featuring some of the most exciting jazz artists around. The soup blend this session reaches from straight-ahead to innovative to Brazilian! Each artist is a celebrated award-winner and a total delight to the ears. Alexis Cole, Mary Foster Conklin, Thos Shipley, Rebeca Vallejo are accompanied by the Daryl Kojak Trio (Daryl Kojak, piano; Sean Conly, bass; Dwayne 'Cook' Broadnax, drums). There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: COCOMAMA AT 54 BELOW

Cocomama, an All Woman World Latin Fusion ensemble that mixes hard hitting Latin rhythms with subtle musical flavors from all over the globe, performs at 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, February 3rd at 7:00 pm. The ladies who make up Cocomama hail from France, Argentina, Israel, Mexico, the U.S., and Cuba, and their repertoire is just as far-reaching. They can switch smoothly from Cuban Salsa to Argentinian tango to Brazilian samba to songs from the countryside of France set to Afro-Cuban beats, all the while tinging them with their sense of jazz. Among the members of Cocomama, congera Mayra Casales tours with The Ojays, vocalist Ariacne Trujillo is up for a Grammy Award, and bassist Jennifer Vincent appeared with the Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars in the hit Broadway musical revue After Midnight. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: AUDRA ISADORA: THE SONGS OF GRACE JONES

Audra Isadora brings her show "The Songs Of Grace Jones" to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday, February 3rd at 9:30 pm. One can't help but think 'Grace Jones' upon seeing and hearing Audra Isadora. With a low, sultry voice, standout cheekbones, and a strong, stylish sensual acuity, Audra Isadora brings back the vibe and soul of '70s and 80s Grace Jones in Grace.Period. With her roots in theater and jazz, Audra, along with music director Mark Fifer, re-interperets Grace Jones classics into gutsy, melody driven 11-o'clock cabaret numbers. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
