Robert Rod presents: "The Sound of Music, Man"A jazz and Beat-poetry retelling of Rodgers & Hammerstein's masterwork with Justin Bernard Bowes, piano; Matt Gold, bass; Danny Faith, cajon. The hills are alive with the sound of bossa, samba, scat and swing! Jazz master Robert Rodi returns to DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Sunday, February 1st at 7:00 pm with every tune from the beloved musical, performed like you've never heard them before, from a Latin-rhythm "Maria" to a gospel "Climb Ev'ry Mountain." And tying it all together: Robert's original-and hilariously Beatnik-verse narration of the story. Do - Re - Mi - Fa - So - La - Ti - GO! There is a $12 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
