NYC: BEN DELACREME IS TERMINALLY DELIGHTFUL

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6 contestant BenDeLaCreme makes her New York debut with the premiere of 'Terminally Delightful' at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Thursday & Friday, August 28th & 29th at 7:00 pm and Saturday, August 30th at 10:00 pm. RuPaul's Drag Race exposed the world to BenDeLaCreme. Now it's time for BenDeLaCreme to expose herself to you! Terminally Delightful is an intimate evening of story, song and BenDeLaCreme's signature high camp hijinks as she peels away the outer layers of artifice to reveal the artifice within. As a performer, emcee, party hostess, and event promoter BenDeLaCreme has appeared in theaters and nightclubs from coast to coast ever since the fateful day in 2002 when s/he realized that normally unsavory behavior could be dressed up in fancy clothes and called "Performance Art." Formerly based in Chicago, but with lucite heels now planted firmly in Seattle, DeLaCreme combines her background in the performing & visual arts with a love of spectacle, glamour, and Saturday morning cartoons to create a thick sludge of sparkly entertainment certain to stick to your ribs! NYC: DYNASTY HANDBAG - OLD IS THE NEW NEW

Performance artist Dynasty Handbag presents "Old Is The New New" at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, August 28th at 9:30 pm. Dynasty offers up a full-faced melange of new mini-works, including a fresh vomitous rendition of Beyonce's "Drunk In Love" as well as a few classy classics. All proceeds go to make-up, dog food and dog make-up and make-up food. Hosted by Allison Michael Orenstein. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: AN EVENING OF GARLAND AT THE MET

On Thursday, July 28th at 7:00 pm, some of the most talented singers in New York will pay tribute to Judy Garland atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440). Produced by Joseph Macchia, the night will feature some of the favorite songs as well as some obscure ones that were performed by Garland. Featured are Lennie Watts, Liz Lark Brown, Lisa Yaeger-Wojchik, Marla Green, Billie Roe, Ricky Ritzel and Skie Ocasio. Musical director is Jeff Cubeta. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: YOSHINO NAKAHARA QUARTET AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

The Yoshino Nakahara Quartet will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, August 28th at 9:30 pm. Yoshino Nakahara is a pianist, composer and educator from Tokyo, Japan. In 2009, she came to the U.S. and started to fully concentrate on studying Jazz Piano at Berklee College of Music with a scholarship. She has been performing her original compositions and Jazz/Fusion/Latin tunes with her band at various venues including Lily pad, Cafe Luna, MIT, Harvard club and Hilton Hotel in Boston, and then has moved her home base to New York. She is joined by Leon Boykins (Bass), Evan Sherman (Drums) and Special Guest Gilad Hekselman (Guitar). There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MILLY & ABIGAIL SHAPIRO AT 54 BELOW

Tony Winner/ Grammy Award Nominee Milly Shapiro (Matilda in Matilda the Musical) and triple threat sister Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who in How The Grinch Stole Christmas) bring their unstoppable sister act "The Shapiro Sisters: Live Out Loud!" back to 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, August 28th at 7:00 pm. For this encore performance, the Shapiro sisters will be joined by special Broadway guests to be announced. The two kid sisters will delight you with a variety of their favorite songs from Broadway characters who touched their hearts. This concert is to benefit a cause for which they are most passionate: No Bullying! With original arrangements of these beloved classics by Musical Director, Michael Moritz, and direction by Deborah Kym, these powerhouse young sisters promise to both entertain and touch the heart of your world! There is a $35-$45 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
