NYC: PAUL AND ROCHELLE CHAMLIN PRESENT "GEMS BY JULE: SELECTIONS FROM THE JULE STYNE SONGBOOK"

Acclaimed cabaret couple Paul and Rochelle Chamlin return to the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 10th with their latest offering, celebrating the music of the incredibly prolific Jule Styne. Both shows are at 7:00 pm. Selections will span Styne's 60+ year career, from his early days in jazz-infused Chicago to Hollywood in its studio heyday, on to the Golden Age of Broadway and television. The wonderful cabaret performer Teresa Fischer directs. Rochelle and Paul have become a familiar and welcome presence on the New York cabaret scene. Their lively, delightful shows feature witty banter, an eclectic choice of music, and unique chemistry. NYC: JOANNE TATHAM REPRISES "SOUNDTRACK NEW YORK"

The L.A.-based jazz vocalist Joanne Tatham reprises her acclaimed Cafe Carlyle show "Soundtrack New York" atTHE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday May 13th at 7:00 pm; Saturday May 17th at 4:00 pm; Sunday May 18th at 9:30 pm and Sunday June 1st at 7:00 pm. The show is a fast-paced guided tour of songs from films shot on the streets of Manhattan. "Soundtrack New York" features a veritable skyline of songs from such films as "West Side Story," "Tootsie," "Rosemary's Baby," "Breakfast at Tiffany's" "Funny Girl," "Midnight Cowboy," and "New York, New York." Musical directors are Tedd Firth (May 13th & June 1st; Mike Renzi (May 17th); and Billy Stritch (May 18th). Also joining her on stage will be Steve Doyle on bass, Sean Harkness on guitar, and Peter Grant on drums. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: BERNARD DOTSON RETURNS TO THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Broadway song and dance man Bernard Dotson returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, June 1st at 4:00 pm. He will be singing songs by great composers of Broadway, Film, and a few Surprises from the Pop World. Directed by Bob E. Gasper and under the musical direction of Tracy Stark, the show will feature David Silliman on Drums, Skip Ward on Bass, Peter Calo on Guitar, and Jeanne Montano and Tanya Holt on backup vocals. On Broadway, Bernard was featured in Finian's Rainbow, (First Gospeleer, Original Revival Cast), Chicago, (Billy Flynn), Imaginary Friends, (Leo, Original Cast), Sweet Smell Of Success, (Club Zanzibar Singer, Original Cast), Jesus Christ Superstar, (Original Revival Cast), and the Tony Award Musical Ragtime, (Original Cast). Concerts and recordings: She Loves Me, Boys Night Out, Celebration of the Rat Pack, New York Philharmonic, the music of Frank Loesser, Dreamgirls for the Actors Fund, (Recording), Broadway On 22nd Street, Encores Broadway Bash at City Center, and several cast recordings including the newly released Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along. NYC: TETE-A-TETE WITH JIM BROCHU & FRIENDS

This Sunday, June 1st, 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, http://jazzbistro.caNYC - 646-476-3551) launches "Tete-a-Tete with Jim Brochu & Friends," the new series in which Broadway's legendary songwriters sit down with Drama Desk Award-winner Jim Brochu (Zero Hour, Character Man, The Big Voice: God or Merman) to discuss their life's work. This week, Brochu will sit down with Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Sheldon Harnick, the legendary lyricist and librettist who created iconic musicals including Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me, Fiorello and The Apple Tree. Tony nominee Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, Brighton Beach Memoirs, They're Playing Our Song) and MAC Award winner Steve Ross will take to the stage to perform some of Harnick's most beloved songs. There is a $30-$40 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: ALICE RIPLEY IMAGINES

Following her recent sold out appearances, Tony winner Alice Ripley returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Sunday, June 1st at 9:30 pm with a brand new show - Alice Imagines! In the show, the multi-talented star of Broadway's Next to Normal, Sunset Boulevard, The Who's Tommy, Side Show and The Rocky Horror Show explores roles she'd love to play and why! There is a $35-$45 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: SIMON GREEN: SO, THIS THEN IS LIFE

59E59 Theaters presents the US premiere of SIMON GREEN: SO, THIS THEN IS LIFE, created by Simon Green and David Shrubsole, performed by Mr. Green, with musical arrangement and accompaniment by Mr. Shrubsole. The show explores paths un-trod, mistakes repeated, and ridiculous responses to an ever-changing world. Simon Green and David Shrubsole cast their gaze over life's rude awakenings. Reteaming after their Drama Desk-nominated Traveling Light, Green and Shrubsole concoct a theatrical marriage of words and music that transports audiences to a former, more innocent incarnation of themselves. Simon Green: So, This Then Is Life begins performances at 59E59 THEATERS (59 East 59th Street, NYC - 212-279-4200) on Tuesday, May 20th for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 1st. Simon's cabarets, with musical director and arranger, David Shrubsole, are familiar in London's major cabaret venues and have played New York at Feinstein's, The Metropolitan Room, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall and the 59E59 TheatersPress opening is Thursday, May 22 at 7:15 pm. The performance schedule is Tuesday through Thursday at 7:15 pm; Friday at 8:15 pm; Saturday at 2:15 & 8:15 pm; and Sunday at 3:15 & 7:15 pm. Tickets are $35 ($24.50 for 59E59 Members)
