LONDON: RAY SHELL AT THE CRAZY COQ WITH BACK 2 BLACK II

Ray Shell is back at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Friday & Saturday, June 27th & 28th at 8:00 pm. His show, BACK 2 BLACKII, features Ray's distinctive interpretation of well-known songs from musicals including Sweeney Todd to Miss Saigon and current Broadway hit Kinky Boots. Featuring songs from his pop career, as well as a few new surprises. Ray Shell's West End career has embraced starring roles in many of the greatest West End musicals of the past 30 years, from Hair and Starlight Express to The Lion King and The Bodyguard. Earlier this year Ray wowed the critics and his audiences with his stunning London cabaret debut, earning him a clutch of 5 and 4 star reviews. Call for cover/minimum information.

LONDON: LATE NIGHT JAZZ WITH THE BARRY GREEN TRIO

The Barry Green Trio will perform atTHE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Friday, June 27th at 10:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Jazz series. Barry Green (piano), Dave Green (bass) and Steve Brown (drums) are technically accomplished, inventive performers, who together create one of the greatest rhythm sections in jazz music today, having between them played with everyone from Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins to Benny Green and Evan Parker! Barry Green plays regularly in clubs all over the world and releases his fourth recording as a leader on Moletone records in 2015. He studied classical and jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2002. Whilst still studying, he began playing professionally in a varied range of musical styles. LONDON: SONG SUITE VOCAL FESTIVAL 2014: MARK JENNETT AND KATIE ELLEN / ANITA WARDELL QUARTET

The Song Suite Vocal Festival 2014 opens at THE PHEASANTRY (152-154 King's Road, London SW3 4UT - 08456 027 017) on Friday, June 27th at 8:00 pm featuring Mark Jennett and Katie Ellen followed ay 9:30 pm by the Anita Wardell Quartet. Mark and Katie, two charismatic London based rising stars combine to take you on a swinging journey through 20th century jazz standards. With personal interpretations of songs from writers as diverse as Cole Porter, Randy Newman, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, expect a soulful, exuberant and groovy set. Anita Wardell is a unique artist, noted for her mesmerizing and captivating improvisations and vocalese lyrics to instrumental solos. Anita received the prestigious BBC Jazz Award for Best of Jazz category in 2006 and was winner of the British Jazz awards 2013 for voice. Call for cover/minimum information.
