NYC: RUBY RIMS RETURNS TO THE NYC CABARET STAGE!

Legendary Drag Queen, Ruby Rims returns to the NYC Cabaret Stage for one show only on Friday, June 27th at 8:00 pm at JUDSON MEMORIAL CHURCH (55 Washington Square South, NYC - 212-477-0351). With John McMahon at the piano, Ruby will be vamping, camping, tramping and stamping his way through almost 40 years of PRIDE! He'll be performing the music of Shaiman/Wittman, Kander and Ebb, Alan Menken,  Jerry Herman, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Paul Jabara,  Sammy Fain, Vicki Sue Robinson and others. Expect visits from Bette Davis and Carol Channing, with a side trip to The Anvil. It's GAY PRIDE from a one-of-a-kind Drag Queen who lived it, loved it, lost it … and then found it again, Mary! Ruby Rims is New York City's longest running female impersonator. A continuous cabaret performer, he is a five-time winner of the MAC Award for best impersonation. Mr. Rims has been seen all over television on such shows as Phil Donahue, Geraldo Rivera, Mid-Day Live With Bill Boggs, P.M. Magazine, and Live at Five. He is also known for "TeddyCare", an organization he founded to bring teddy bears during the December holiday season to children of all ages living with AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses. In New York theater, he appeared Off-Off Broadway in Dick Gallagher's Have I Got a Girl for You and in Wallace Hamilton's The Queen's Will. He also appeared in Y by Jim Raido and Jerry Ragni, the creators of Hair. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Judson Memorial Church & The Ruby Rims College Grant Fund. There is a $20 cash cover at the door.

NYC: ADAM SANK IN "MAMA, I WANT TO SING SHOWTUNES: A ONE 'MO SHOW"

Popular gay comic Adam Sank moves into THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, June 19th and Friday, June 27th at 7:00 pm to perform his first-ever cabaret show, complete with music, comedy and humiliating stories of childhood. He is joined by special guest Erika Amato, acclaimed singer-actress. The show is directed by Maria Gentile with Musical Direction by Michael Isaacs. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JOAN ESTEP WITH SOMETHING YOU'D LIKE TO TRY

Joan Estep presents her show Something You'd Like to Try at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438)on Friday, June 27th at 9:30 pm. Through witty tales, sumptuous opera, and contemporary pop, Joan dishes on her attempted opera career, her twisted dating life, and coming out. Featuring the songs of Janelle Monae, Bruno Mars, the Smiths, and many more. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: EMILY KRON: CANVAS AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Emily Kron: Canvas will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, June 27th at 7:00 pm. The show features a host of beautifully talented vocalists and musicians performing an array of styles harking back to 90s female pop angst, sultry female jazz vocals, classical musical theater songs reinvented, and much more! Additional performances by Peter Albrink, Casey Donahue, Ming Aldrich Gan, Justin Graves, Charlie Hely, Catherine McCarthy, Karel Ruzicka and more. Emily Kron has been singing since she was a wee little thing. Trained classically by the legendary Marni Nixon, Emily fell in love with an array of musical styles right away and began collecting inspiration from the infinite well of artists in her grasp. She has performed in theater and musical theater performances all over the city, at venues such as The Cherry Lane, LaMaMa, NYTW, Ars Nova and at several top-teir regional theaters in the country. She has also performed in live concert and cabaret acts at Ars Nova, The Highline Ballroom the Metropolitan Room, the Red Lion, and BB King! Emily Kron: Canvas is the artistic love child of Emily Kron and Claire Graves. Emily and Claire established their collaborative kinship at Middlebury College, while working on their senior acting thesis, where they discovered a deep creative bond. NYC: DISTORTED DIZNEE / BROADWAY / HOLLYWOOD

Dallas DuBois and her merry band of drag stars put a bawdy twist on some of your favorite pop culture icons in a series of cult hit pop culture revues whicj run on alternate Fridays at 10:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). The group presents the Magic Kindom themed DISTORTED DIZNEE, the Great White Way tribute DISTORTED BROADWAY and the new Silver Screen inspired DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD. This trio of Las Vegas-style drag extravaganzas feature drag stars Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Brenda Dharling, Dallas DuBois and more. For the holidays, they will present DISTORTED KRISTMESS, all of your holiday favorites are run past a dirty funhouse mirror. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. NYC: MARILYN MAYE RETURNS TO 54 BELOW WITH CARSON SALUTE

Marilyn Maye returns to 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday, June 26th at 7:00 pm and Friday & Saturday, June 27th & 28th at 8:30 pm. Her newest show at 54 Below will be both a musical salute and a compilation of many of the songs Marilyn performed on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Ms. Maye appeared on The Tonight Show a record 76 times, more than any singer. There is a $40-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: ALEXA RAY JOEL AT THE CAFE CARLYLE

Singer, songwriter and pianist Alexa Ray Joel will perform atTHE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, June 24th through 28th at 8:45 pm. Alexa is the daughter and only child of singer-songwriter Billy Joel and first child of model Christie Brinkley. Joel released an EP Sketches (2006) and several singles on independent record labels. She has performed at numerous charity events and New York City fashion events, and in 2010 was chosen to be the spokesmodel for Prell shampoo. There is a $30-$105 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
