Actress, singer and social activist Gloria Reuben will perform at BLUES ALLEY(1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Tuesday, June 24th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Many will remember her as the HIV+ health care professional "Jeanie Boulet" on the hit NBC series ER, a role that garnered her two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination. Gloria is most recently seen in Steven Spielberg's LINCOLN. Gloria's music career includes being a backup singer for Tina Turner in 2000, which led her to record her solo album Just For You. She currently has a thriving jazz/cabaret show highlighting the ladies of jazz: Ella, Sarah, Billie, and her favorite Shirley Horn. Call for cover/minimum information.

BETHESDA, MD: RICK ESTRIN & THE NIGHTCATS AT BETHESDA BLUES

Rick Estrin & The Nightcats will perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Tuesday, June 24th at 7:30 pm. Harmonica icon/ vocalist/ songwriter Rick Estrin, along with The Nightcats (jaw-dropping guitarist Chris "Kid" Andersen; singing drummer who plays standing up J. Hansen; and dynamic multi-instrumentalist Lorenzo Farrell on electric and acoustic bass, organ and piano) and featuring Cathy Ponton King, serve up fresh and modern original blues injected with a solid dose of gritty roadhouse rock 'n' roll. Since the 2009 release of their celebrated Alligator Records debut, TWISTED, the band has toured non-stop, honing their creative synergy to a razor's edge. Night after night, the band blazes their own innovative musical path while still remaining true to the blues. Rick Estrin won a 2013 Blues Music Award for Instrumentalist Of The Year - Harmonica.
