Scott Gryder's monthly SIMPLY SCOTTY! show will be held this month at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Sunday, April 6th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Scott will once again entertain from his self-compiled songbook of zany, heartfelt music! He is accompanied by the incomparable Nick Sula on piano, and joined at the mic by guest singers Freddie The Puppet, Laven Deer and the legendary operatic pachyderm Placebo Dominguez. Guest singers welcome. No cover charge - just a 2-drink minimum.

Jeff Dean will bring back his acclaimed October 2013 show 'Johnny Mercer: Dream' toDAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830 - ) on Sundays, April 6th & 13th at 8:00 pm. His musical director is Beckie Menzie. Lyricist - Composer - Singer: The ubiquitous Johnny Mercer was an absurdly talented, but enormously complex and dissatisfied man. Come ride this train through Mercerland as Jeff and Beckie explore Johnny's life, loves and music. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Kritzerland Upstairs at Sterling's presents "These April Foolish Things" on Sunday, April 6th at 7:00 pm at STERLING'S AT THE FEDERAL (5303 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA - 818-754-8700), As always, the cast includes some of the best voices in town, including Sandy Bainum, Zachary Ford, Maddy Claire Parks, Jenna Lea Rosen, Sami Staitman, Shannon Warne and Robert Yacko with musical director Lloyd Cooper. SAN FRANCISCO: DAVE MASON'S TRAFFIC JAM

Take a journey back to the greatest days of rock with Dave Mason's sight and sound experience 'Traffic Jam' atYOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Sunday, April 6th at 7:00 pm. Join Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and co-founder of the legendary band Traffic, Dave Mason for an evening of music history as he retraces the earliest days of his career with Traffic and the works that launched his successful solo career. Mason founded Traffic with Steve Winwood while both were still teenagers, and created music that would find its way into the hearts of generations of music lovers. He would go on to establish himself as a successful songwriter, guitarist and solo artist. Mason has penned dozens of hits, and his legendary guitar work has been linked with numerous other members of rock and roll elite, including Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Rita Coolidge, Leon Russell, Ron Wood and Mama Cass Elliot. There is a $54 cover.
