NYC: SUNDAY JAZZ BRUNCH WITH GABRIELLE STRAVELLI

Bistro Award winning vocalist, Gabrielle Stravelli, returns with her Sunday Jazz Brunch on August 11th at LE PESCADEUX (90 Thompson Street, NYC - 212-966-0021), a French restaurant in the heart of Soho. They will play three sets from 12:30 to 4:00 pm. She will be joined by Saul Rubin on guitar and Pat O'Leary on bass in this charming boite that offers a great, well-priced menu and cozy atmosphere. Award-winning vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following through her unique take on material from the new American songbook as well as classic standards by artists as varied as Pink Floyd and Duke Ellington, Dolly Parton and Johnny Mercer. A trained actor, Gabrielle has a soulful sensitivity for the story in the lyric. Gabrielle has performed on stages from Amsterdam to New York including Carnegie Hall, Iridium Jazz Club, Birdland, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Reservations are strongly suggested. NYC: BOB DOROUGH: SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK AT JOE'S PUB

Bob Dorough, the 90-year-old jazz legend, brings his School House Rock show to JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Sundays, March 2nd & 9th at noon. Dorough wrote "Three is a Magic Number" and dozens of other memorable songs for ABC TV's Schoolhouse Rock. His fans have included Miles Davis, Tom Waits, Dr. John, Jamie Cullum, Blossom Dearie, Diana Krall, and many, many more. Join the legendary Bob Dorough for an intimate set celebrating his many different forays into entertainment that have brought so much joy over the years. There is a $20 cover.

NYC: DESMOND'S "JAZZ BRUNCH" WITH JERRY COSTANZO & HIS TRIO

DESMOND'S STEAKHOUSE (513 Seventh Avenue, NYC - 212-391-6900) presents 'Jazz Brunch' every Sunday from noon to 4:00 pm with Jerry Costanzo & His Trio, with special guests weekly. Dine on their very special and affordable brunch menu while enjoying the best of jazz, swing and "The Great American Song Book". Combining the liveliness of Time Square with a resplendent dining experience, Desmond's Steakhouse has proudly become New York City's premiere steakhouse with a contemporary twist. TORONTO: BRUNCH WITH THE CANADIAN MEN'S CHORUS

On Sunday March 9th, the Canadian Men's Chorus will hold its first-ever fundraising CABARET at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Sunday, March 9th featuring the men of CMC and some special guests for a Sunday of classic showtunes, smoky ballads, contemporary pop songs and much more. The brunch show is at 12:30 pm and the dinner show at 7:00 pm. There will be a silent auction as well! Now in its fourth exciting season, the Canadian Men's Chorus was co-founded in 2010 by Arlene Jillard and Artistic Director Greg Rainville to present high quality performances of classical repertoire, both traditional and contemporary, with a focus on Canadian music. There is a $20 cover.

D.C.: SHANNON GUNN AND THE BULLETTES BRUNCH SHOW

"Shannon Gunn and the Bullettes" will present a special live recording, Jazz Brunch event at BOHEMIAN CAVERNS (2001 Eleventh Street N.W., Washington, DC - 202-299-0800) on Sunday, March 9th at 12:00 noon. "Shannon Gunn and the Bullettes" began as a dream of Shannon Gunn, trombone player and recent graduate of the George Mason University Masters in Jazz Studies program. After meeting with saxophone player Leigh Pilzer in the summer of 2010, they realized that there were enough talented and active musicians in the D.C. area to put together an all-women professional jazz orchestra. Mrs. Gunn decided to see if she could get them together to create a rough recording so that the general public could hear what they could do. Soon a Kickstarter website was born which allowed Mrs. Gunn to raise $1500 to pay for the production of the album. "Shannon Gunn and the Bullettes" are a musical performance organization that uplifts women in jazz, creates networking opportunities, and provides a positive role model for aspiring jazz musicians in the D.C. area. There is a $10 cover.

LOS ANGELES: BROADWAY BRUNCH AT DON'T TELL MAMA

James Lent & James Mooney present The Broadway Brunch at DONT TELL MAMA LA (8279 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-380-7209) on Sundays December 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th with seatings at 11:30 am & 1:00 pm. The brunch features LA's Brightest singing Broadway's Best. There is no cover - 2 drink minimum or brunch.
