NEW ENGLAND: O'CONNIE, O'BRENDA, O'PATSY AND ME

JM Productions and The Common Market Restaurant of Quincy, MA present O'Connie, O'Brenda, O'Patsy and Me starring Sheila Fahey & friends at THE COMMON MARKET RESTAURANT (110 Willard Street, Quincy, MA - 617-773-9532) on Friday, February 14th with shows at 7:00 & 9:00 pm. Sheila Fahey has been doing the "Connie, Brenda, Patsy & Me" show for a few years now (tribute to the music of Connie Francis, Brenda Lee and Patsy Cline), and wanted to do something different. Because it's the time of year, she decided to use some of the songs from that show and add some Irish music. Sheila comes from a big family and tells the story of her Irish family members and their traditions. Sheila is a masterful storyteller. All Seats are $20.00 in advance & $30.00 at the door.

BOSTON: EARL KLUGH AT SCULLER'S

Earl Klugh performs atSCULLERS JAZZ CLUB(400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111) on Friday & Saturday, March 14th & 15th at 8:00 pm. Since Klugh released his inaugural album in 1976, the Detroit-born master of the acoustic-classical guitar has become one of the most imitated icons of the instrument, issued dozens of discs, 23 of which have been on Billboard's top-10 list of jazz albums and 5 that made it to the No. 1 slot. During that time, Klugh's recordings also received 12 GRAMMY nominations (the latest of which was for his 2008 CD The Spice of Life) - and his collaboration with pianist Bob James, One on One, walked away with the 1980 GRAMMY• Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album. Klugh's new album, HandPicked, showcases Klugh's first recorded duets, and highlights the intimate, intricate, reflective and lyrical approach to music that is the hallmark of the guitarist's playing. BOSTON: ALI AMR AT THE REGATTABAR

Medici Musica Productions Presents presents Ali Amr atTHE REGATTABAR at the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-395-7757 - ) on Saturday, March 15th at 7:30 pm. Ali Amr is a singer and Qanun performer. The development of his artistic style is the result of a journey of musical influences. Growing up in a talented family of musicians meant that different forms and textures of music always surrounded the young prodigy and exposed him to a wealth of music as a child, all of which influenced his creative development. Now, after honing his unique sound in performances over recent years, in collaboration with distinguished performers and in his studies at Berklee College of Music, Amr will release his debut album, "Dream", in the Fall of 2014. It is the fruit of his rich musical and life experiences, with Ali's interpretations on the Qanun and his own vocals, punctuated with sometimes surprising elements of hip hop, jazz, and soul. There is a $16 cover.

TORONTO: COLIN HUNTER AND THE JOE SEALY QUARTET

Crooner Colin Hunter performs at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Thursday through Saturday, March 13th through 15th at 8:00 pm. He is joined on stage by Joe Sealy (piano); Paul Novotny (bass); Daniel Barnes (drums); Alison Young (saxophone). While some people only dream of becoming artists their entire lives, others follow their dream while also pursuing brilliant careers in other fields. Such is the case of Colin is the founder, owner and Chairman of the Board of the Sunwing Travel Group, comprising Sunwing Airlines and Sunwing Vacations, one of the most important leisure travel organizations in Canada. However, Colin has always had another passion in his life: his music! A huge fan of the hit songs performed by artists like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and Nat King Cole, Colin fulfilled a long-held dream in 2005, with the release of his first CD, appropriately titled "Come Fly With Me" to coincide with the inaugural flights of Sunwing Airlines. Since then Colin has made 9 more albums, with Big bands from Ontario and Quebec, and with renowned jazz pianist Joe Sealy. His love of music lead him to opening a Toronto Jazz Club: THE JAZZ BISTRO! Colin and his wife Joan wanted to offer the public a comfortable up-scale jazz club, featuring top names from Toronto and international fame, while enjoying delicious food. Colin can often be found on his stage filling the Club with his laid back crooner classics. There is no cover on Thursday, $10 cover on Friday & Saturday.

TORONTO: YOUNG ARTIST SERIES: PATRICK HEWAN

Patrick Hewan will perform atTHE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Thursday through Saturday, March 13th through 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm as part of the club's Young Artist Series. Patrick is a rising star in the Toronto Jazz scene who's energetic virtuosic playing captivates and moves his audiences. He draws on the vast vocabulary of the legendary jazz pianists who came before him and adds his own spirit and passion to create a unique sound and style. Drawing heavily on influences such as: Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Hiromi Uehara, Oscar Peterson, and Phineas Newborn while studying under the tutelage of legendary pianists such as Mark Eisenman, Brian Dickesnon, Richard Whiteman, Robi Botos, and Hilario Duran it's no secret where Patrick developed his unique, high-octane style that still clearly adheres to the art forms tradition. Patrick began studying classical piano at the age of four and was later introduced to the saxophone where he developed a great love for jazz music. His education includes York University and Humber College and he is a recipient of the Berklee World Tour Scholarship for both sax and piano. There is no cover charge.

D.C.: "4 GENERATIONS OF MILES" AT BLUES ALLEY

Jazz legends Mike Stern (Guitar), Jimmy Cobb (Drums), Buster Williams (Bass) & Sonny Fortune (Sax) join together to present "4 Generations of Miles" atBLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, March 13th through 16th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Four Generations of Miles is an unusual tribute to Miles Davis, featuring a quartet made up of alumni from four different editions of the trumpeter's bands, while omitting keyboards and trumpet entirely. They will concentrate almost exclusively on the 1950s repertoire of Davis. Call for cover/minimum information.

D.C.: INTEGRITI REEVES AT BOHEMIAN CAVERNS

Integriti Reeves will perform atBOHEMIAN CAVERNS (2001 Eleventh Street N.W., Washington, DC - 202-299-0800 - ) on Saturday, March 15th with shows at 8:30 & 10:30 pm. Integriti Reeves is a dynamic vocal powerhouse whose "Modern Vintage" style exists at the crossroads of jazz music, embodying the past, present, and future of the genre. Her voice elicits comparisons to the dulcet purity of Ella Fitzgerald and the smoky effortlessness of Nat King Cole. Her experimental outlook is inspired by contemporary artists such as Feist and The Bird And The Bee, whilst her signature retro look pays homage to icons of the 1950s. Integriti has performed with many renowned contemporary jazz and pop artists including Herbie Hancock, Ernie Andrews, Geri Allan, Eperanza Spaulding, Stevie Wonder, Terri Lyne Carrington, Liz Wright and Patrice Rushen. Her musical experience is also grounded in academic excellence. There is a $20 cover.

MARYLAND: DARYL JR. CLINE W/ JULIA NIXON & THE RECLINERS

Daryl Jr. Cline w/ Julia Nixon & The Recliners will perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB(7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500 - ) on Saturday, March 15th at 7:30 pm. Daryl Jr. Cline is one of the mid-Atlantic region's most enduring and popular award-winning performers. Jr. Cline performs music deeply rooted in R&B soul with a rocking edge. Jr. Cline and the Recliners have been performing with a full brass sound for over 30 years to enthusiastic fans. This innovative, beloved singer/songwriter has played in venues from Manhattan to Key West, earning thousands of fans up and down the East Coast. FLORIDA: MELISSA MANCHESTER MAKES HER ROYAL ROOM DEBUT

Melissa Manchester will appear at THE ROYAL ROOM at THE COLONY HOTEL (155 Hammond Avenue, Palm Beach, FL - 561-659-8100) on Tuesday through Saturday, March 11th through 15th at 8:30 pm. Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Manchester started as a back-up singer to Bette Midler before becoming a solo artist selling-out Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and theatres around the world. Her first smash hit was "Midnight Blue" and her songs have been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Alison Krauss, Roberta Flack, Johnny Mathis, Kathy Mattea, Peabo Bryson, Cleo Laine, Barbara Cook and Mel Torme, among many others. Her international hits "Through The Eyes Of Love" and "Don't Cry Out Loud" were written for her by her friend and frequent collaborator Carole Bayer Sager, Marvin Hamlisch and the late Peter Allen. In 1982, she received the Grammy Award for Best Female Vocalist, and later worked again with Midler on the film For the Boys. In 2010, Melissa co-created and starred in the five-time Ovation Award nominated ballroom dance spectacular Fascinating Rhythms.
