NYC: THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND

After sold out runs in 2009 & 2010, Thank You For Being A Friend returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) for its third limited-run engagement. In the show four women over 60 (Blanchette, the varicose-veined vixen; Dorthea, the brainy ball-buster; Roz, the lovable airhead; and Sophie, the wisecracking spitfire) are spending their golden years together in a wicker-filled bungalow in Miami. But when gay pop superstar Ricky Martin moves next door, his loud outdoor sex parties keep the quartet of cheesecake-loving retirees awake. The solution pits the gays against the girls at the annual Shady Oaks Retirement Home Talent Show: if the women win, then no more sex parties; if the gays garner top prize, the sassy seniors must serve as the party's clean-up crew. Singing, dancing and hilarity ensues! This newly revised production will feature original cast members Chad Ryan, Luke Jones, and Nick Brennan with newcomer John De Los Santos. The production team features Jonathan Pennington (Director), Cisco Cardanez (Assistant Director/Stage Manager), John De Los Santos (Choreographer), Luke Jones and Nick Brennan (Set Design), Timothy Hart (Lighting), Jessa-Raye Court (Costumes) and Doug Repetti (Sound).
