CABARET TONIGHT IN LOS ANGELES: MARSHA BARTENETTI WITH HER GENTLEMEN OF JAZZ

Marsha Bartenetti with her Gentlemen of Jazz will appear at CATALINA JAZZ CLUB (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) on Thursday, November 14th at 8:00 pm. She is joined by John Prouix, piano, music director; Kenny Dennis, Rickey Woodard, Sid Jacobs & Mike Garrola. Marsha's musical career started in the 60's where she performed with a local band in the San Francisco Bay area. The music scene was alive with incredible talent and opportunities. In the 70's she performed and and co-wrote songs with her husband, Alan Graham. Together, they performed in clubs across the country and recorded at A&M Records, Electra Records. They opened for such acts at The Youngbloods, and played at venues like the Troubadour in Los Angeles. In 1980 Marsha won Best Vocalist in the American Songwriter's Association's International contest. The 'American Idol" of it's time, it brought access to opportunities that would take Marsha to Motown Records where she recorded with writers Ken Hirsch and Ron Miller who co-wrote Touch Me In The Morning for Diana Ross, For Once In My Life for Stevie Wonder, If I Could for Celine Dion, among other top hits.
