NYC: THE 6TH SEASON OF THE CONCERTS FOR CITY GREENS - SECOND CONCERT SET FOR JUNE 26th

NYC: THE 6TH SEASON OF THE CONCERTS FOR CITY GREENS - SECOND CONCERT SET FOR JUNE 26th

The 6th Season of The Concerts for City Greens, free outdoor concert series, continues on Wednesday, June 26th at 6:30 pm (Rain date: Thursday, June 27th at 6:30 pm.) at TUDOR CITY GREENS OARK (enter at Tudor City Place between East 42nd and East 43rd Streets) with "Summer Sambas, Showmen & Sirens ," and will feature professional performers from Broadway and the New York City cabaret, jazz, and classical scene. All performers donate their time and talent to benefit MUSIC AND ART FOR GREEN.

The concert will be hosted by Tudor City resident, Broadway and cabaret veteran Raissa Katona Bennett. This concert will feature TV, Broadway & Off Broadway Veteran Ilene Kristen, and MAC, Bistro & Nightlife Award Winner Mark Nadler. MAC Nominated Recording Artist, Annie Kozuch and Bistro Award Winner, Parker Scott complete this exciting evening of entertainment.

Host Raissa Katona Bennett welcomes back series regulars Terese Genecco as sidekick & drummer, Sean Harkness on guitar, Matt Scharfglass on bass, and Musical Director, Bill Zeffiro, and introduces violinist Nicholas Perry.
 Additional musical direction will be provided by pianist Mark Janas.

Conceived and developed by Raissa Katona Bennett, The Concerts for City Greens is part of a newly forming non-profit, MUSIC AND ART FOR GREEN, whose mission is to expose culturally and socio-economically diverse audiences of all ages to free, professional live music and art events in city settings, while linking with other community groups and organizations to promote the "greening" of cities in various ways including, but not limited to: fiscal support, educational outreach, fostering environmental awareness, action and volunteerism. The organization will continue to produce at Tudor City Greens, while actively promoting creative and inclusive uses of other public green spaces.

The concerts take place at the South Park of Tudor City Greens Park (between 41st & 42nd Streets, and 1st & 2nd Avenues)

Future 2013 Concert Dates are August 7th (rain date August 8th) & September 11th (rain date September 12th). All at 6:30pm.
