NYC: HILARY KOLE "YOU ARE THERE" CD RELEASE
New York-based jazz singer (and pianist, arranger, and composer) Hilary Kole celebrates the release of You Are There, her sophomore release on the Justin Time label at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Sunday, August 8th at 9:00 & 11:00 pm and Monday, August 9th at 7:00 pm. The CD features eleven legendary pianists - Monty Alexander, Kenny Barron, Alan Broadbent, Dave Brubeck, Freddy Cole, Benny Green, Steve Kuhn, Michel Legrand, Mike Renzi, Cedar Walton, and the late Hank Jones. Ms. Kole recorded thirteen spontaneous piano-vocal duo tracks with these amazing musicians, some of whom will make special appearances for these performances. Ms. Kole will be supported by Mike Renzi (piano), John Hart (guitar), Paul Gill (bass) and Carmen Intorre (drums). There is a $30 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
