TONIGHT IN THE CABARET: LONDON: KAREN OBERLIN SALUTES FRANK LOESSER IN 'HART & SOUL"
Karen Oberlin returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, July 5th through 9th at 8:00 pm, with her show celebrating the songs of legendary composer and lyricist Frank Loesser. In 2010 Karen headlined at the legendary Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room commemorating Loesser's centenary. Loesser had achieved American songwriter immortality for writing the scores to classic Broadway musicals such as Guys & Dolls and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, as well as the score to the film Hans Christian Anderson starring Danny Kaye and endless numbers of popular songs including "Baby, It's Cold Outside." His songs have heart, passion and bottomless wit, along with New York City grit and true American heart that is celebrated worldwide. For her show, Oberlin received wide critical praise, along with the Vocalist of the Year and a MAC Lamott-Friedman Award for the live recording of the show.
