Bistro Award and MAC Award Winning Performer, and Six-Time MAC Award Winning Producer, the acclaimed Tanya Moberly, continues a new series of shows at DON'T TELL MAMA(343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with TANYA MOBERLY SINGS THE BLUES with musical director Ian Herman. Performances are scheduled for Wednesday, July 6th and Friday, July 8th at 7:00 pm and Wednesday, August 3rd and Friday, August 12th at 7:00 pm. Additional shows are scheduled each month, featuring several accompanists, through December. The show features songs by: Beck, Edie Brickell, Ray Davies, Duke Ellington, Ritt Henn, Lina Koutrakos, Lennon & McCartney, Percy Mayfield, Ric Ocasek, Cole Porter & Allen Toussaint. SAN FRANCISCO, CA: WESLA WHITFIELD & MIKE GREENSILL - HELLO DOLLY IN CONCERT
FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 866-663-1063) is transformed into Harmonia Gardens as they present 'Hello Dolly in Concert' on Wednesday, July 6th at 7:00 pm; Friday, July 8th at 8:00 pm; and Saturday, July 9th at 7:00 pm. Directed by F Allen Sawyer with Musical Direction by Joe Wicht, these gifted theatre artists will lead an incredible local cast starring Wesla Whitfield as Dolly Levi, Mike Greensill as Horace Vandergelder, Alex Rodriquez as Cornelius Hackl, Nick Quintell as Barnaby Tucker, Heather Orth as Irene Malloy and Maureen McVerry as Minnie Fay. Audiences will delight in the familiar story of the meddling widow who just wants to bring romance to everyone around her as well as the beloved score of favorites including "It Takes a Woman," "Put on Your Sunday Clothes," "Ribbons Down My Back" "Before the Parade Passes By," "So Long Dearie," and, of course, "Hello Dolly." Narrator, Darlene Popovic will also share some interesting trivia from the shows 1964 Broadway debut as well as the 1969 film and subsequent 1975, 1978, 1995 and even the recently announced 2017 revival productions as well as some tidbits from composer and Lyricist Jerry Herman's memoir "Showtune" who also wrote the music and lyrics for Mame, La Cage Aux Folles and other Broadway shows.
