Lorraina Marro appears at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Thursday, May 12th at 9:00 pm (dinner served at 7:00 pm). Lorriana promises a night of music that will include heartfelt renditions of some of her favorite standards. I will be joined by some outrageous musicians who have played for the likes of Steve March Torme, Bette Midler, Nancy Wilson, Patti Austin, Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, etc. I feel honored to work with them. On piano, Steve Rawlins; on bass. John B. Williams; and on drums, Steve Pemberton! "So Rare" is a program of classic music that was inspired by the type of once-in-a-lifetime love that Ronald and Nancy Reagan and a few other lucky couples have experienced. It will be a night of tender love songs, sentimental moments and romance, featuring the music of Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Leslie Bricusse, Jim Croce, Mack Gordon, Bart Howard, Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, Harry Warren and Mark Winkler.
