Winner of the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance" at the 2007 Dublin Theatre Festival, the 2006 MAC Award (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) for Best Impersonator and the BACK STAGE BISTRO AWARD, Broadway veteran Rick Skye has taken various incarnations of "LIZA LIVE!", from New York to Chicago, the Edinburgh Festival, a "sold-out" season in Covent Garden, the Apollo Theatre in London's West End, The Dublin Theatre Festival and many regional theater's in the US. Displaying Liza's physical and vocal mannerisms along with a smashing voice, Rick has created an outrageous show, a non-stop production number tracing Liza's legendary career. His razor sharp parodies of such diverse songs as "Mein Herr" and "Sara Lee", have left audiences weak from laughter. Along with a pair of unquestionably alluring legs, this "tribute with a twist" includes a "new" Charles Aznavour song, Liza's concert version of "The Single Ladies Song", a "Happy Endings" production number and a tribute to "one of her famous parents". Rick Skye is a multi-award winning performer who has enjoyed success both on Broadway and the West End. Training with the Joffrey Ballet and the famed Stella Adler, Rick toured the US with Ann Reinking and Sandy Duncan in "The American Dance Machine Show" and in the Kennedy Center Production of "Miss Liberty". He acted with Dorothy Louden in a role written especially for him by Paul Zindel in "Danny and Della". He did a stint on "All My Children" and appeared in the film "The Cater Waiter" starring David Drake. His friendship with Neil Sedaka led to his writing and starring in "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka" (the tribute with a twist), which got him nominated as 'Best Newcomer' by The Manhattan Association of Cabarets. His revue, "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable" ran for nine months in New York, followed by his hit show "A Slice O' Minnelli" which has enjoyed successful seasons at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End, The Dublin and Edinburgh Festivals, and from cities New York to Chicago. Critics called it "Masterful ... Astonishing ... Brilliant and it has earned him a MAC Award for Best Impersonation - 2006, the "Best Achievement in Performance" Award at the 2007 Dublin Theatre Festival and the Terrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2008, he created a new revue entitled "The War of the Mama Roses - the Ultimate Audition for GYPSY" starring some of the world's foremost impersonators and which enjoyed a successful run in New York. He co-starred with Steven Brinberg (Simply Barbra) in the London production of "Barbra and Liza LIVE!" and toured with it to the Dublin Gay Theater Festival. He then toured with "Liza LIVE!" playing the New Players Theater in London and many spots in England concluding in Brighton. He joined forces with the legendary "Madame" of "Wayland Flowers and Madame" fame and toured the U.S. with "It's Madame with an E!" which he wrote and starred in. The duo played Resorts International in Atlantic City, the Suncoast Casino in Las Vegas, The RRAZZ Room in San Francisco as well as Feinstein's at the Regency in New York City. He was a contributing writer and performer of "Bawdy! - Off Broadway's Biggest Little Vaudeville" and most recently finished a record breaking Five Year run in the acclaimed revue "Judy and Liza Together Again", which he starred in alongside Tommy Femia and for which they received a MAC Award for "Best Duo" in 2012.
