NYC: THE CRAZY COQS PRESENTS ANNE REID
THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) presents Anne Reid, one of Britain's most-loved and respected actors, for a 2-week run - Tuesday through Saturday, March 22nd through April 2nd - all shows at 8:00 pm. Anne was the star of the popular Last Tango in Halifax, Ladies of Letters, Dinnerladies and Coronation Street. Following three total sell-outs she returns to Crazy Coqs where Anne will be recounting funny and interesting stories about her life in and out of show business. She will be accompanied by two-times Tony Award nominee Musical Director Jason Carr. Anne Reid has become a familiar figure to audiences everywhere in her many roles on television, stage and screen. In 2004 she received critical acclaim for her starring role in the film The Mother alongside Daniel Craig. Only recently has she branched out into musicals, with roles in Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods at the Royal Opera House and Cole Porter's Out of This World in Chichester and earlier this year A Little Night Music. Mixing jazz, soul, and musical theatre, this exciting new singer has compiled a diverse show for the cabaret world. Raised in London, Lily has been writing and recording since the tender age of 13. Since leaving school, she has thrown herself into her music; honing her skills and perfecting her craft. Now in the process of recording her new album, Lily has created a soulful and cheeky show, putting a modern spin on cabaret as well as embracing the classic numbers we know and love. With her catchy melodies, honest lyrics and soulful voice, Lily is definitely one to watch.
