NYC: LONDON: FRANCES RUFFELLE CELEBRATES CD LAUNCH AT THE CRAZY COQS
Following run after run of sold-out performances, internationally acclaimed singer Frances Ruffelle returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 12th through 17th with a brand new show to celebrate the launch of her album 'I Say Yeh-Yeh'. Produced by award-winning artist Gwyneth Herbert, the album is inspired by the cool sounds and hip grooves of 60s and 70s France and Britain. Frances is a celebrated stage actress and recording artist, known worldwide for her legendary performances as the original Eponine in Les Miserables and recently appeared in the new ITV series of Birds of A Feather. She has won multiple awards including the coveted Tony award. Join her for a joyful and nostalgic European road trip - with surprise special guests, and all the best vintages, naturally! Champagne Charlie and The Bubbly Boys are at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Friday, October 16th at 10:30 pm to keep the roaring 20, roaring! It's SWING NIGHT! A crack team of handsome sharply dressed musicians will give you the thrilling live sound of the jazz age, the time of Art Deco and the speakeasy, playing hot tunes at 78rpm. Now that's fast! With music from Gershwin, Porter, Berlin to name but a few. Songs like, Puttin' On The Ritz, Running Wild, Sweet Georgia Brown and their famous 12 minute Charleston dance-off-mega-mix! Whether you know the steps or just want to jig about to the charm of this timeless music, you'll find it as infectious as everyone does. Let yourself go with wild, raucous gay abandon! There is plenty for everyone with audience participation, a tap dance from Charlie, sing-a-longs, surprise costumes and of course, plenty of time for you to dance.
