PALM SPRINGS, CA: HUSBAND AND WIFE DUO IN CABARET SHOW IN PALM DESERT
Singers Katie Clarke and Sean Carney are married but have different views when it comes to music in their upcoming cabaret show, "He Sings, She Sings" at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER (73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) on Sunday, September 6th at 2:00 pm. It's Sinatra for him and Broadway for her when this couple hits the stage as part of the on-going Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series. Katie Clarke and Sean Carney met in May of 2013 aboard the Celebrity Constellation cruise ship when both joined the cast of the ensemble shipboard entertainment. Katie, who's originally from Norwich, Norfolk, in the UK, studied musical theater, acting, voice, and classical and jazz piano. Sean grew up in the Midwest, graduating from Western Michigan University, paying for classes by playing guitar at night in a rock band, but he's always preferred Standards, especially ones sung by Frank Sinatra. While Katie likes her music from the Broadway stage, that's why they've subtitled their show "Sinatra vs. Sondheim. For this show, Katie will be the pianist for herself as well as Sean, who'll also fill in on the guitar for a few numbers. They have plans to return to their cruise ship jobs in this Fall, performing in both the stage shows and as a cabaret show in the ship's lounge. $11 cash only cover, tickets available at the box office at 1:00 pm.

Barb Jungr returns to THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Sunday, September 6th at 7:00 pm with her acclaimed show 'Stockport to Memphis. She performs the collection named for her love of soul music and her northern roots. Accompanied by Simon Wallace on piano and Davide Mantovani on bass, she sings many of her own compositions, whilst including songs by her favourites, including Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Waits.
