CHICAGO: NOT YOUR MAMA'S HOLIDAY' AT THE BACK ROOM
Melissa Young brings her show 'Not Your Mama's Holiday' to THE BACK ROOM (937 North Rush Street, Chicago, IL - 312-751-2433) on Friday, December 19th at 7:00 pm. The show is a holiday celebration with wacky Holiday Classics along with Nick and Melissa's greatest hits! She is accompanied by Nick Sula at the piano. Melissa has been performing around the country with her solo shows, Redheaded Broadway, Lucky Star: Madonna at 50 and Beyond and OUT: A Rainbow Icon Celebration. Hailing from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, she ran to the other side of the state for school at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduation she continued west, landing in Chicago. In Chicago, Melissa has had the pleasure of performing at Davenport's, Drury Lane Water Tower, Hydrate, The Gentry, Theater Building Chicago, The Bailiwick and, this October, at the 700 seat Park West. Melissa is a Board member of Chicago's cabaret organization, The Chicago Cabaret Professionals. There is a $20 cover.
