Elusive jazz singer Janet Planet returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) Monday through Saturday, March 11th through 16th at 7:00 pm, tantalizing New York audiences with that rare opportunity to make an exhilarating discovery. She is joined on stage by Tom Theabo on guitar, Dan Loomis on bass, and Ross Pederson on drums. Janet Planet packs a cosmic repertoire, craftily intermingling astute interpretations of latter-century lyricists into her grab bag of jazz and standards. From Blossom Dearie to Bob Dylan ... Cole Porter to Leonard Cohen, she effectively adds another chapter to the Great American narrative. With thrilling reserve, Ms. Planet idles like a rocket ship. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
