FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) presents the return of MAC, Bistro, and Nightlife Award winning vocalist, Karen Oberlin from Tuesday through Saturday, July 24th through 28th at 8:00 pm. Her new show "I'll Be Hard to Handle: Songs of Daring Dames" is an adventurous evening that explores feminine courage in all its forms: songs by bold women writers, songs about dauntless women, and songs written on audacious subjects showing just how brave and brazen women can be. Songwriters include the inimitable Bessie Smith and her peers, Joni Mitchell, Dorothy Fields, Rodgers & Hart, Pink, and many more. Jon Weber serves as Music Director. Karen Oberlin, hailed as one of the premier interpreters of the Great American Songbook, recently received rave reviews for her three-week engagement at the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel in New York. Along with the Algonquin, she has appeared at major New York venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Town Hall, Iridium Jazz Club, Merkin Hall and The Metropolitan Room, among others. She entertained sold-out audiences at the Oak Room to launch the release of her highly lauded debut CD, My Standards (Miranda Music) and Secret Love: The Music of Doris Day (Miranda Music). There is a $30-$50 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
