NYC: LEA SALONGA: THE JOURNEY CONTINUES AT THE TOWN HALL
THE TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC - 212-997-1929) is pleased to present The Tony and Olivier Award-winning actress and recording artist Lea Salonga: The Journey Continues on Friday, May 4th at 8:00 pm. Having enchanted audiences worldwide, Lea Salonga originated the role of Kim in Broadway's Miss Saigon, for which she won the Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards. She also played Eponine and Fantine in the musical Les Miserables on Broadway. She was named a "Disney Legend" in 2011 for her work as the voice of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan and Mulan II. Lea made her debut in the world of Cabaret in 2010, performing a sold-out, three-week engagement at the Cafe Carlyle in New York City. In August 2011 she released a live version of her 2010 concert "Lea Salonga: The Journey So Far." The Journey Continues is an intimate evening that features a selection of Broadway tunes, standard classics and today's hits, as well as personal stories of Salonga's incredible journey, spanning decades.
