BOS: "DESTINY" CD RELEASE PARTY AT SCULLERS
Co-producers Louise Van Aarsen and Rebecca Parris will release DESTINY, Louise's debut album, at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111) on Tuesday, May 8th at 8:00 pm. By day a cancer researcher, for one night this Dutch-born, Boston-based Jazz vocalist and composer will enchant you with her tasteful lyrics and memorable melodies. Louise will be backed by a top-notch line-up of jazz musicians in the Greater Boston area, including acclaimed jazz singer Rebecca Parris (co-producer of "Destiny"), and featuring Ted Davis (vocals), Russ Hoffmann (piano & keyboard), Doug Hammer (piano), Paul McWilliams (piano), Claudio Ragazzi (guitar), Oscar Stagnaro (bass), Mike Turk (harmonica), Arnie Krakowsky (tenor sax), Jim Lattini (drums), and Mike Ringquist (percussion). On the album, masterfully recorded by Peter Kontrimas (who also plays acoustic bass), Eugene Friesen and members of his Berklee World Strings, Rika Ikeda, Echae Kang, and Maria Kowalski add a beautiful string section.
