NYC: TIM DI PASQUA AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Award-winning singer/songwriter Tim Di Pasqua will be singing and playing other people's songs in a one-night-only concert benefiting THIRD EYE THEATRE COMPANY at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, March 26th at 7:00 pm. Joining Tim will be Award-winning Bassist Michael Blanco. Well known for songs like YOU, I WANT TO GO HOME from his musical Synchronicity, Big Hairy Man, Maybe You Didn't Hear Me and his BACKSTAGE BISTRO Award winning ONE THING (Song of the Year) Tim will present an evening filled with some of his favorite songs from some of his favorite songwriters. From Stephen Sondheim to Stevie Wonder; from Joni Mitchell to Janet Jackson; from James Taylor to Jimmy Webb; from Brenda Russell to Billy Joel, Tim celebrates the night with songs and songwriters that have inspired him throughout the years. All proceeds will go to THIRD EYE THEATRE Co., a not-for-profit professional theater Tim helped create. Tim is an actor/singer/songwriter/pianist and the recipient of four Backstage Bistro Awards and The New York Nightlife Award for his group SOUTHERN COMFORT (with Tom Andersen and Scott Coulter). Tim has four recordings of his original songs including MONSTER UNDER THESE CONDITIONS, PURPOSE OF LOVE Volumes One and Two, THE TIM DI PASQUA SONGBOOK, and SYNCHRONICITY - A New Musical. THIRD EYE THEATRE has presented another show of Tim's NOTES ON NEW YORK - The Musicalized Observations Of Tim Di Pasqua, in 2007. Tim is also the Musical Director and Arranger for Jim Van Slyke's THE SEDAKA SHOW celebrating the music of Neil Sedaka. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
