NYC: CHANNING IS TIPSY AT DIXON PLACE
DIXON PLACE (161A Chrystie Street, NYC - 212-219-0736) presents "MargOH! Channing is Tipsy on Friday, March 30th at 9:30 pm. MargOH! is going off-off-off-Broadway by bringing her highly acclaimed drunkglama show downtown. "MargOH! Channing is Tipsy" is written and performed by drag superstar MargOH! Channing (BT Shea). The show deconstructs drag through storytelling, song, and drunkglama dysfunction. MargOH! reminisces about her family, gay lovers and the ups and downs of her career while tackling such subjects as rape, incest, race, political correctness, sexual orientation, the power of Liza and most of all survival. Tipsy features MargOH!'s long time Gayiance' MAN-ee Champagne (Jeff Catlow-Shea), Diamond Daquiri (Crystal Rona Peterson) as back up diva's, The MargOH!-tini's and the Jarad Astin Trio. The show is directed by Thom Fogarty. MargOH!'s hilarious stage shows and bombastic vocal stylings have become something of an event on the downtown scene and are always must-sees for her ardent fans. Tickets are $15 ($12 in advance)
