MW: DARYL SHERMAN'S GREAT LAKES TOUR STOPS IN CLEVELAND
Daryl Sherman, with Bob Fraser, guitar & Dave Morgan, acoustic bass, will perform for one night only at NIGHTTOWN (12387 Cedar Road, Cleveland Heights, OH - 216-795-0550) on Saturday. March 10th at 8:30 pm as part of her Great Lakes Tour. A sparkling mainstay of Manhattan nightlife, singer/pianist Daryl Sherman is internationally acclaimed for a stellar 14-year run at the Waldorf-Astoria where she played Cole Porter's Steinway. She headlined two years in a row at he annual Cole Porter Birthday Festival in is native Peru, IN. Equally at home in the world of jazz and cabaret Sherman has been lauded for appearances at Feinstein's, The Algonquin's Oak Room, Dizzy's Coca Cola and Rose Hall with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Sherman's many recordings are in regular national rotation on Cable TV's Music Choice and Sirius/XM Radio. She was recently presented the 2010 MAC Award "Best Major Recording" for her Johnny Mercer Centennial CD, a track of which was used in a Mercer documentary produced by Clint Eastwood.
