NYC: ERIC COMSTOCK & BARBARA FASANO SING ARLEN + MERCER
Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano being their latest show SHINING HOUR: THE "GOOD MARRIAGE" OF ARLEN + MERCER to the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 - ) for one night only, on Tuesday, June 28th at 7:00 pm. Harold Arlen was the son of a cantor from Buffalo. Johnny Mercer was an Episcopalian prep-school boy from Savannah. Individually, both were successful Hollywood songwriters when they first collaborated, in 1941. Together, they seemed to bring out the very best in one another, and brought pop songwriting to an apex of craft and soul. They wrote their greatest score, and one of the richest scores in all musical theatre, exactly 65 years ago. Eric & Barbara celebrate ST. LOUIS WOMAN and other great songs by Arlen & Mercer. They are joined by special guest John DiMartino.
