CHI: THOUGHTS AROUND MIDNIGHT AT DAVENPORTS
Harold Sanditen makes his Chicago cabaret debut with his most recent cabaret show, THOUGHTS 'ROUND MIDNIGHT, at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Monday, February 7th at 8:00 pm, prior to performing at DON'T TELL MAMA in NYC on February 11th. He is joined by London favorite Nathan Martin on piano and local Chicago bass player, Scott Mason. The show is directed by Lisa Forrell. In this show he explores those innermost thoughts we can fall into late at night - loneliness, gratitude, regrets, jealousy, love, fantasies and even revenge - and it's fun, despite the somber sounding title. Harold's soulful and witty interpretation of lyrics portrays the humour, sadness and tenderness of these emotions, through the words and music of classic songs by Lennon and McCartney, Billie Holiday, Thelonious Monk, Jerome Kern, Bob Dylan, Jay Leonhart, Dorothy Fields, Stephen Sondheim and Antonio Carlos Jobim to name a few.
