NYC: MICHAEL FEINSTEIN WITH "SWING IN THE HOLIDAYS" THROUGH DECEMBER 30TH
FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095) will conclude its Fall 2010 season with the return of the club's founder Michael Feinstein in an exclusive engagement on Tuesdays through Saturdays, starting on November 30th and through December 30th. Feinstein's longtime Musical Director John Oddo will lead the 12-piece Winter Wonderland Big Band in a collection of holiday favorites and classic standards. The program will also include a tribute to the legendary Broadway songwriter Jerry Herman, who will celebrate his 80th birthday next year. Michael Feinstein is considered one of the premier interpreters of American standards. His 150-plus shows a year have included performances at Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl as well as the White House and Buckingham Palace. More than simply a performer, Feinstein is nationally recognized for his commitment to celebrating America's popular song and preserving its legacy for the next generation. Performances are Tuesdays through Thursdays at 8:30 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 & 10:30 pm. (*certain dates are skipped - see website) There is a $95-$175-$250 cover plus a $40 food/drink minimum.
