TODAY IN NYC: THAT'S AMORE: JENNA SINGS LOVE, ITALIAN STYLE
Jenna Esposito pays tribute to some of the most celebrated Italian-American singers in the history of American popular song at BACKSTAGE dopo teatro at TRATTORIA DOPO TEATRO (125 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-869-2849 - ) on Saturday, September 11th at 9:30 pm. In this exciting new show, Jenna sings the songs of Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney (an honorary Italian for the night!), Dean Martin, Connie Francis, and (of course!) the Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra. Songs range from the scintillating "Steppin' Out With My Baby" to the tender "All The Way" to rousing crowd-pleasers such as "That's Amore" and "Volare," which are all sung with a wink, a smile, and Jenna's signature sparkle. The show also features a fantastic five-piece band, led by musical director Fortune Esposito on guitar. Jenna Esposito made her New York nightclub debut in August 2004 and has since performed shows at Feinstein's at the Regency, The Metropolitan Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, The Duplex and Danny's Skylight Room. BACKSTAGE dopo teatro is produced by Dale Badway and Michael Alden, and hosted by Dale Badway. Tickets are $65 for 8:30 pm dinner & show, or $30 for show-only ($15 food/drink minimum for show-only tickets).
