TODAY IN NYC: LAURA HULL LAUNCHES NEW MONTHLY JAZZ CRUISE FRIDAY SERIES
Songbirds Agency LLC announced today that acclaimed jazz vocalist-songwriter Laura Hull will set sail on a new monthly jazz cruise series aboard Spirit Cruises of New Jersey. Laura Hull & Her Jazz Gems will kick off the series beginning on Tuesday, September 10th. The Spirit of New Jersey departs from Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken and cruises around New York Harbor from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. A native of New York City, Ms. Hull spent her formative years singing at the resorts of upstate New York's fabled Catskill Mountains. In her early career, she worked as a session and jingle singer and showcased her singing at clubs in and around New York City. After a 24-year hiatus from music to pursue a business career, she returned to live performance in 2004 and has been described as first class vocalist with an infectious sense of swing, phrasing and style. Her music is drawn from an extensive repertoire of American popular songs, jazz standards, obscure gems, and her original compositions. Laura Hull & Her Jazz Gems features best-in-class musicians playing the New York jazz scene today. Reservations are highly recommended and a variety of packages are available.
